Children with disabilities are up to three times

Children with disabilities are up to three times more likely to be bullied, and up to six times more likely to experience violence or abuse, an Oireachtas committee has heard. Inclusion Ireland's Mark O'Connor told the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science that 35-40% of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities experience mental health problems - five times greater than the general population.
